I’m Simon Beuse, the author of this blog.

When I was a kid, my dad gave me an old, dusty PC. One of those bulky grey machines that took 20 minutes to boot. Sitting on a small wooden desk, it became my playground for experimenting, breaking, and fixing things. Once I got something running, my excitement quickly faded—I was already chasing what was next.

That same curiosity now drives my work in AI, scaling, and startups. As a PhD candidate and blogger in Australia, I study how firms use AI to scale, while gaining hands-on experience as a consultant for a Silicon Valley startup.

For over a decade, I worked as an IT Manager for Pon.Bike, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer, leading digital transformations across Germany, Australia, and the US. My global IT leadership experience, combined with fully-funded scholarships, has equipped me to navigate high-growth, complex environments.

Beyond research and corporate leadership, I support startups in Australia, Germany, and the US through angel investing and advisory roles. I love helping founders strategize and turn ideas into reality, fueling my passion for venture capital. My expertise in AI adoption, scaling, and opportunity analysis aligns closely with the VC mission of backing transformative tech ideas.

My goal is to make AI Kickstart easy for small and medium businesses. Through this blog, I share practical tips, strategies, and different approaches to identifying and deploying digital technology to help companies achieve their goals.
